$9 per day is the headline with IND’s Economy Lot

You pay $9 per day to leave the car in the Economy Lot, which sits about 0.3 miles from the Main Terminal at Indianapolis International Airport. This is the long-stay option at IND, aimed at trips that run more than a night or two. You park in open-air rows, grab your bag, and head for the shuttle stops marked along the lanes.

The Economy Lot runs on a park-and-ride setup, with shuttle buses taking you the 0.3 miles to the Main Terminal curb. Factor in a 5–10 minute wait for the shuttle during normal hours, plus a short ride to the terminal doors. That’s on top of TSA time, so build at least 30 extra minutes into your schedule if you’re checking bags.

Pricing is simple: $9 for each full or partial day, billed on exit. No premium or covered sections here, just one long-stay category across the entire Economy Lot. If your trip runs five days, expect roughly $45 on the way out. That’s typically less than half of what you’d spend in the closer daily or garage options at IND.

The lot sits off the main airport access road that feeds into the Indianapolis International terminal loop, so you follow signs for “Economy Parking” before you hit the Main Terminal. You’ll pull a ticket or tap a card at the entrance gate, then follow row numbers to remember your spot. The shuttle drops you at the same curb as friends or rideshares in front of the Main Terminal.

Tip: Snap a photo of your row number as soon as you park; after a week away, that picture saves you 10–15 minutes of wandering when the return shuttle drops you back in the Economy Lot.
