Gate-side leather shoes in Terminal C

Menswear brand Johnston & Murphy sits in Terminal C, handy if your United flight is using the C concourse and you realize your dress shoes won’t survive another trip. This is a full retail store, not just a stand, so you can actually try on sizes properly before a long-haul out of C or E.

Expect airport pricing, but not insane: leather dress shoes that run about $150–$200 downtown usually sit in that same band here, with seasonal sale racks sometimes dipping closer to $100. You’ll also see belts, wallets, socks, and a few casual sneakers, so you can fix most work-trip wardrobe issues in one stop.

Terminal C stays busy around the United banks that hit roughly every 2–3 hours, and the store follows typical airport retail hours, opening early enough for morning departures and staying open into the evening push. Figure you need 10–15 minutes to try on shoes and pay, so don’t start this with boarding already showing “Final Call.”

Inventory skews men’s dress and business casual, similar to a small mall shop: cap-toe oxfords, slip-ons, and some travel-friendly loafers. If you just need a basic black or brown belt, this is faster than hunting through the larger shops in Terminals A or B. Socks are mid-range cotton and wool blends, useful if TSA made you walk barefoot through security in C North.

Tip: If your connection lands at C and your next flight leaves from E, stop at Johnston & Murphy before riding the underground Subway; it’s easier than backtracking if your gate shifts late.
