Gate E1 in Terminal E: Beerhive sits right at the fork

Beerhive sits near gate E1 in Terminal E, so it’s one of the first food spots you see after clearing the main security checkpoint for E. It’s a bar-first setup with table seating wrapped around the tap area, aimed at people killing 30–60 minutes before long-haul flights out of the international gates. Signage is big and easy to spot from the main concourse walkway.

Hours usually track the heavy bank of flights in Terminal E, opening around early-morning departures and staying open into late evenings when the last transcon and international flights leave. You’re airside (post-security), so this only works if you’re already holding a Terminal E or connected airside from A–D via the Skyway train. Figure on bar food pricing: cocktails and draft beers typically land in the low-to-mid teens, and mains push into the high teens or low 20s.

Food is standard airport pub fare: think burgers, wings, and fries, more like a sports bar than a sit-down restaurant. You’re paying for the seat by gate E1 and the ability to watch your boarding group form in real time. Service pace varies with the bank; during the 5–7 p.m. wave out of E, build in at least 45 minutes if you want a full meal and a drink.

Beer lineup changes, but tap handles usually cover American lagers, one or two IPAs, and a rotating seasonal. If you care which brewery is on, ask to see the printed beer list before sitting; don’t rely on the overhead boards alone. Tip: if your flight leaves from gates E10–E12, this is about as close as you’ll get to a proper bar seat without backtracking toward the food court nodes deeper into Terminal E.
