Remote

$10 a day gets you airport-run parking with shuttle access

ecopark at IAH is the main on-airport economy lot, about 0.5 miles from the terminals off JFK Boulevard. Daily rates run $10.00, with a $70.00 weekly cap that beats the terminal garages by a wide margin on longer trips. It’s airport-operated, so payment, signage, and rules match the rest of the official IAH parking system.

This is a remote lot, so you ride instead of walk. The shuttle is scheduled every 30 minutes, with a typical ride of about 10 minutes to terminals A, B, C, D, and E. Third-party guides say buses come more frequently at peak times, but you should plan around the official 30‑minute headway, especially late at night or early morning.

Shuttle reliability is the swing factor here, because there’s no walk-up option like at the terminal garages. If a bus is delayed, that 10‑minute ride can suddenly feel tight against a 6:00 a.m. departure out of Terminal C or E. Build in at least 30–45 minutes from parking your car to clearing the terminal curb, more if you’re checking bags.

Regulars use ecopark when a trip runs 4–7 days and the savings versus the terminal garages add up to real money. For a week-long vacation, that $70.00 cap is hard to argue with, even with the shuttle transfer on both ends of the flight.

Tip: Aim to arrive one full shuttle cycle earlier than you think you need—park, snap a photo of your row marker, and walk straight to the nearest signed stop so you’re ready when the next bus pulls up.
