Gate-side in B Concourse, this is your grab-and-go stop
Just off several mid-B gates at IAD, DC Marketplace works as the quick “I forgot” shop: snacks, drinks, magazines, plus last-minute souvenirs with DC logos. You’re safely post-security in Terminal B, so this is an easy detour during a short layover. Expect standard airport pricing: bottled drinks around $4–$6, packaged snacks in the $3–$7 range, and simple travel accessories like chargers and neck pillows at usual markups.
Hours typically track the B concourse bank: opening early for 6:00–7:00 a.m. departures and staying open into the late-evening wave, often past 9:00 p.m. You’ll see the usual grab-and-go basics: chips, candy bars, protein bars, nuts, and a cooler with soft drinks, water, and energy drinks. If you want something more substantial, you’re better off walking a few gates to a food outlet; DC Marketplace is more snack stop than meal solution.
Souvenir shelves lean heavily into DC branding: think $10–$25 T-shirts, $8–$15 mugs, keychains, magnets, and kids’ items with monuments and flag themes. It’s enough for a quick gift if you forgot to shop downtown. Travel gear is the other focus, with headphones, charging cables, and power banks that run in the $20–$50 band.
Tip: hit DC Marketplace before you board at the far end of B; walking back from a bus-gate boarding call can easily cost you 5–10 minutes.
