Gate 1 in Terminal 1 has Gameway if you need a screen fix

Gameway sits right by Gate 1 in Terminal 1 at Hobby, so you spot it as soon as you clear the nearby seating area. It’s a pay-by-time gaming lounge with individual stations, each set up with a console, monitor, and headset. Figure on airport pricing: you’re trading a bit of cash for guaranteed power, a decent chair, and something more interesting than doom-scrolling at the gate.

Most Gameway locations run on timed sessions in 30–120 minute blocks, and Hobby’s setup follows the same pattern near Gate 1. You pick a package, they load your station, and the clock starts. Sessions typically run cheaper than a lounge day pass but more than a basic coffee sit-down, so it makes sense if you’ve got at least an hour to kill in Terminal 1.

Expect mainstream console titles rather than deep-cut indie games: think sports, shooters, racers, and big-name franchises. Each station has its own screen and controller, and staff can usually swap titles if something you want is available in their library. Multiplayer is possible if you and a friend grab adjacent stations, but plan on paying for each seat separately.

Tip: you’re right at Gate 1, so it’s easy to cut it close. Set an alarm on your phone 30 minutes before boarding so you don’t lose track of time in the middle of a match and miss the start of your group.
