Gate 27 caffeine stop before Southwest boards

This Dunkin sits in Terminal 1 by Gate 27, right in the middle of the Southwest concourse. It’s post-security, so you can grab coffee after TSA instead of juggling drinks through the line. The counter faces the main passageway, so you can keep one eye on the boarding queue while they pull your espresso shots.

Standard Dunkin menu shows up here: hot and iced coffee, espresso drinks, and the usual donuts and Munchkins. Expect airport pricing, with drip coffee running a bit higher than your neighborhood strip-mall Dunkin. If you’ve got a 20–30 minute gap before a flight from Gate 27–32, this is the most straightforward caffeine option without doubling back toward the food court.

Pastries and breakfast sandwiches hold under heat lamps, so if it’s after 10:30 a.m. at HOU, pick something that tolerates a reheat, like a sausage, egg & cheese on a bagel, over anything croissant-based. For iced drinks, they’ll usually refill plastic cups with ice from the bin by the espresso station; ask for light ice if you don’t want a watered-down large.

Lines spike at Hobby between 5:30–8:30 a.m. and again around the 3:00–5:00 p.m. bank of Southwest departures from Terminal 1, and this Dunkin bogs down fast. Build a 10-minute buffer if you’re grabbing coffee inside 40 minutes of boarding. Tip: order everything in one go—coffee, sandwich, and donut—so you’re not stuck waiting through the line twice when your group is already lining up at Gate 27.
