Daily rates sit above Economy, but Parking Plus hugs the terminal.
Parking Plus sits directly next to the Hobby Airport terminal, so you’re walking a few hundred feet instead of waiting on a shuttle. This is the closest airport-run option at HOU if you want to park, grab your bag, and head straight into Terminal 1. It’s structured parking, so your car isn’t sitting in a remote field, and you keep your keys with you instead of handing them to a valet.
Rates usually run higher than the remote Economy lots at Hobby, often in the mid-to-upper teens per day, but you’re trading dollars for time and a shorter walk. If you’re catching a 6:00 a.m. Southwest flight, shaving 15–20 minutes off the parking routine can be the difference between boarding in A30 or rolling into the C group. For a quick one- or two-night trip, that cost jump often feels easier to justify than for a full week.
Access is simple: follow airport signage for Parking Plus right as you approach William P. Hobby’s main entrance on Airport Blvd. You enter through the same general access road as the Terminal 1 departures and arrivals lanes, then peel off into the garage. Being this close also makes it easier if you’re picking someone up from a late-night arrival around 11:00 p.m. and don’t want to circle the terminal loop for 20 minutes.
There’s no special lounge-style lobby or extra frills here, just standard garage parking with walkable access into the building in about 3–5 minutes, depending on your spot. Elevators and stairwells drop you close to the terminal doors, which cuts down on hauling a 50-pound checked bag across long outdoor lots. Security at HOU generally opens by 3:30–4:00 a.m., so you can time your parking arrival to about 90 minutes before a domestic flight.
Tip: On busy holidays, aim to arrive at Parking Plus at least 30 minutes earlier than usual; the closer garage fills first and you don’t want to get pushed to a farther lot at the last minute.
