The on-airport Garages at William P. Hobby Airport charge a flat $25.00 per day and sit directly next to the Terminal 1 building. This is short-stay style parking rather than a budget long-term lot, so the math starts to sting on trips longer than 3–4 days. Elevators and walkways drop you right into the terminal in a few minutes, so this is the closest you’ll get to true park-and-walk at HOU.

These Garages are physically attached to the terminal side of HOU, so you’re steps from check-in and TSA once you park. That location is the tradeoff for the higher daily rate compared with off-airport hotel or private lots 0.5–1.2 miles away. If you’re hauling checked bags or traveling with kids, the “no shuttle” factor alone can be worth the extra dollars on a 1–2 night trip.

Capacity is the catch: once total garage usage hits roughly 85%, HOU can flip to pre-booked reservations only for the remaining spaces. Drive-up regulars report getting turned away at peak times and having to pivot to off-airport parking. That policy is one reason some reviews label Hobby’s on-airport parking “inadequate” on busy weekends or holidays.

Frequent HOU flyers often skip the Garages entirely for longer trips, using hotel and private lots within about 0.5–1.2 miles and booking through consolidator sites. Those off-airport options undercut the $25/day rate and avoid the 85% capacity surprise, at the cost of a 5–10 minute shuttle ride instead of a 2–3 minute walk.
