IAH has all the United Clubs; HOU has zero.
At William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), there is no United Club. FlyerTalk’s Houston lounge guide lists several United Clubs and a Polaris Lounge at George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), but when it gets to HOU it only mentions the USO and clearly states there are no airline lounges here.
United’s entire Houston lounge footprint sits at IAH, not Hobby. If you’re flying United out of HOU today, you won’t find a United Club in any concourse or near any gate, and there’s no day-pass option because the lounge simply doesn’t exist at this airport.
Terminal wise, Hobby uses a single terminal coded as Terminal 1, and none of the gates in that terminal have a United-operated club attached. Lounges at HOU lean toward Southwest’s presence and the USO facility, leaving United flyers reliant on regular gate seating and public dining instead of a branded lounge space.
FlyerTalk regulars in the Houston thread say that to use a United Club in this city you need to route through IAH. Some passengers even plan their trips so the long connection falls at IAH, where they can hit a United Club or the Polaris Lounge, and keep HOU segments short since there’s no comparable airline lounge here.
If you hold a United Club membership or a credit card with club access, it does not unlock anything at HOU. Your card still works at the multiple United Clubs at IAH Terminal C and E, but at Hobby you’re limited to restaurants and bars in the concourse, many of which open around typical first-bank departures before 06:00–07:00.
Watch out for: tight turns through HOU on United when you were counting on lounge time. Since there’s no United Club and no third-party airline lounge, a 90-minute layover at Hobby means 90 minutes in the public areas, not in a quiet club with free drinks and Wi‑Fi.
Tip: if lounge access matters, book your Houston connection through IAH instead of HOU, then schedule at least a 70–90 minute stop so a United Club visit actually fits between flights.
