Hobby only lists Gameway and the USO, not “The Club”

HOU officially shows two lounges in the terminal: Gameway (a pay-per-hour gaming lounge on the concourse) and the USO near baggage claim for active-duty military and families; none of the airport maps or guides list any space called “The Club.”

Priority Pass materials sometimes imply a Club-branded option at Houston, but Flyertalk’s 2018–2024 Houston lounge thread only calls out the USO for Hobby and focuses all “The Club” discussion on IAH, which is a different airport about 30 miles away.

GlobalAirportParking’s Hobby lounge overview states plainly that HOU “has only two lounges: the Gameway Lounge and the USO Lounge” and notes that “the airport does not have any airline lounges,” with no mention of a day-pass business lounge called The Club anywhere in Terminal 1.

Because no terminal map, airport press release, or current lounge directory shows a Club-branded facility at HOU, any listing that says “The Club – William P. Hobby” is almost certainly pointing you instead toward Gameway on the concourse or mixing Hobby up with IAH’s separate Club locations.

If you want a pay-in option similar to a contract lounge, Gameway sells timed access (typically charged per hour rather than a flat day-pass fee) and focuses on Xbox/PC stations instead of the usual buffet and quiet seating that many flyers expect from a space named The Club.

USO access at HOU follows national policy: active-duty U.S. military, Guard, Reserve, and their dependents can use it for free, but retirees and civilians cannot, so it doesn’t function as a general replacement for a paid independent lounge.

Given the lack of any true “The Club” at Hobby, plan on using Gameway, airport seating near your gate in Terminal 1, or one of the sit-down restaurants on the concourse if you were hoping to burn a Priority Pass credit on a traditional lounge before your Southwest or other HOU departure.

Practical tip: If an app or card benefit lists “The Club – HOU,” confirm on-site signage at Terminal 1 and be ready to pivot to Gameway or regular gate seating so you don’t waste time hunting for a lounge that doesn’t exist here.
