Hobby has zero Minute Suites, despite what some maps show

William P. Hobby Airport runs a single Terminal 1 concourse, and none of it has Minute Suites or any kind of branded nap pod product. Some generic airport apps list “Minute Suites – HOU” as if it exists, but the Flyertalk Houston lounge guide only shows a USO and airline clubs at IAH, not private suites at Hobby.

If you see “Minute Suites” on a third‑party booking portal with no gate or hours listed for HOU, treat it as an error. The official Minute Suites network covers airports like ATL, CLT, DFW, IAH, and PHX; Houston’s entry in that list is IAH only, not Hobby.

The only real lie‑flat option at HOU is in the USO, which regulars on Flyertalk say has recliners for active‑duty military and families, but that’s not a pay‑per‑use room and it sits landside on the ticketing level. For paying passengers in Terminal 1, you’re looking at standard gate seating, a few padded benches, and whatever you can improvise with a jacket and a carry‑on.

Minute Suites elsewhere typically runs on short blocks like 30 or 60 minutes with pricing north of $40 per hour, but you cannot buy that product at Hobby. If you absolutely need a private room with a door in Houston on a long layover, your realistic options are an airside suite at IAH Terminal A or D, or a day room at an airport hotel along Airport Blvd off HOU.

Flyertalk regulars call HOU “weak for napping” specifically because there’s nothing equivalent to Minute Suites or GoSleep pods. If you’re sensitive to noise, build in time to rest before you get to Hobby, or plan to crash afterward at a hotel along I‑45 or at home if you’re local to Houston.

Practical tip: if a connection forces you through both airports, put your longer layover at IAH, where Minute Suites actually operates, and keep the HOU segment tight at 60–90 minutes max.
