No Delta Sky Club operates at Houston Hobby (HOU)

Despite some trip reports mixing up IAH and HOU, William P. Hobby Airport has zero Delta Sky Club facilities. FlyerTalk’s Houston lounge guide spells it out clearly: at HOU you get the USO and that’s it for named lounges, with no Delta-branded space anywhere in Terminal 1.

Delta runs Sky Clubs over at George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), including in the Terminals A and D/E complex, but those clubs are tied to flights and security at that airport, not Hobby. If your boarding pass says HOU and your flight number starts with DL, you still fly from gates in Terminal 1 with standard concourse seating and restaurants, not a Sky Club entrance.

Regulars on FlyerTalk describe Hobby as “dry” for airline lounges and say they do not plan on using Sky Club benefits when their itinerary shows HOU. That lines up with the master thread on Houston lounges, which lists multiple clubs and airline spaces at IAH but explicitly calls out that HOU has no airline-run lounges beyond the USO for eligible military travelers.

Day passes aren’t an option here either: with no Delta Sky Club footprint in the building, there is no front desk to sell a one-time entry and no way to use Amex Platinum or paid Sky Club access fees at Hobby. If you see any third-party site selling a “Delta lounge pass at HOU,” treat that as bad data and verify against Delta’s own lounge locator.

If you need quiet time before a Delta flight from HOU, you’re looking at gate-area tactics instead of lounge access. Hit concessions earlier in the day, grab food from one of the main terminal vendors near the central concourse, then park near your gate with a power outlet; build at least a 60-minute buffer so you can eat, charge, and board without stressing about a non-existent club.

Practical tip: if a lounge matters more than flying Delta, price out similar departures from IAH on United or another carrier with club access, and compare total door-to-door time and cost before locking in a Houston airport.
