Zero Chase Sapphire Lounges in all of Houston, including HOU
Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) has no Chase Sapphire Lounge in Terminal 1 or anywhere else in the building, and Houston doesn’t have one at George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) either. Chase’s Sapphire-branded spaces show up in guides for airports like Boston and Las Vegas, but every current Hobby lounge list skips Chase entirely.
The Hobby lounge guide shows only USO and Gameway as lounge-style options in the terminal, with zero entries for Chase. FlyerTalk lounge threads from 2018 through 2024 back that up: when people post Sapphire Lounge locations for their Priority Pass or Reserve cards, Houston never makes the list and HOU posts confirm there’s nothing Sapphire-branded on-site.
If you hold a Chase Sapphire Reserve or Preferred and are hoping to use the “Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club” network at HOU, plan on using it for the travel credit and points earning only. There is no day-pass option listed for a Sapphire Lounge at Hobby and no credit-card access because the physical lounge doesn’t exist here yet.
Reddit and FlyerTalk Houston lounge threads regularly call out the gap: frequent flyers note that even with millions of passengers moving through HOU and IAH every year, Chase hasn’t announced or built a Sapphire Lounge in either airport. That’s different from American Express, which already runs a Centurion Lounge at IAH in Terminal D, but still gives HOU nothing similar.
If you absolutely want lounge-style space at HOU today, the USO supports active military and eligible family members, and Gameway offers paid gaming stations in Terminal 1 with console setups at each seat. Everyone else sticks to gate seating, bars, and restaurants across the single terminal concourse that runs roughly from Gate 20 up to the 40s.
Practical tip: if you’re routing a trip specifically to hit a Chase Sapphire Lounge, don’t connect through HOU; pick a city like BOS or LAS and treat Houston as a normal terminal stop until Chase finally plants a flag here.
