Gate-side sandwiches in Terminal 1

Terminal 1’s Quiznos sits past security, so you’re fine grabbing a sub after TSA instead of hunting outside the checkpoint. It’s one of the few recognizable chains in this terminal, which helps when you just want something predictable before a Hawaiian Airlines flight out of T1.

Menu is the usual Quiznos lineup: toasted subs, soups, and salads at airport prices, not street prices. Expect a basic 6-inch sandwich to land a few dollars higher than on the mainland, with add-ons like extra meat or avocado stacking on quickly. Portions still feel like standard Quiznos, so one 8- to 12-inch sub can cover a mid‑haul to the West Coast.

Service pace tends to track flight banks in Terminal 1, so lines spike around the 10:00–11:30 morning departures and late‑afternoon pushes. You order at the counter, they run the sandwich through the toaster, and you’re usually out in under 10 minutes during off‑peak times. Seats nearby are gate-style, not a full dining room, so plan to carry your food to your gate area.

Hot toasted subs hold up better than cold ones once you walk the length of Terminal 1, so lean toward the oven runs if you’ve got a 5–10 minute hike to a distant gate. Soup in paper bowls is fine for short hops but awkward if you still have 20–30 minutes of walking or stroller wrangling ahead.

Practical tip: if your departure is in the 20s gate range of Terminal 1, stop at Quiznos before you head down the concourse; backtracking 5–10 minutes against boarding crowds at HNL is more hassle than the sandwich is worth.
