Near gate 9 in Terminal 2, this is your last-minute lei and souvenir stop

Hawaiian Isle Memories sits airside in Terminal 2 by gate 9, right in the main international departures stretch. It’s a small gift shop, not a sit-down spot, so think 5–10 minutes in and out. You’re past security already, so you can duck in after your boarding group gets called and still make a 12:30 flight.

The shop leans hard into Hawaii-themed gifts: flower-print tote bags around $20, fridge magnets under $10, and mid-range kukui nut and shell necklaces in the $15–$30 range. You’ll also see pre-made lei gift packs that are airport-priced, usually over $25. Packaging is touristy but fine for a quick “I brought something back from HNL” grab.

Quality tracks with the 3-star rating: not junk, not boutique. T-shirts hover around $25–$35 and run in standard S–XXL sizes, with a few kids’ sizes on the lower racks. Expect classic rainbow logos and “Hawaii” script more than subtle designs. For nicer prints or local brands, you’d do better in town than at gate 9.

Food-wise, you’ll usually spot macadamia nut boxes, chocolate-covered coffee beans, and pineapple candy near the register, many in the $8–$20 range. Check that the mac nut boxes show at least a few months of shelf life if you’re buying for gifts, especially on late-night departures around 23:00 when stock turnover can lag.

Staff keep regular Terminal 2 hours, roughly from early morning departures around 6:00 through most evening banks. It may close before the very last red-eyes, so don’t wait until a 23:55 flight to grab something. If you’re already at gate 9 and just need one quick Hawaii-branded gift, this is your simplest move: pick one item, tap card, and head straight back to your boarding line.
