Near T1 departures, Snack Bar is the quick grab-and-go

Right in Heraklion International Airport’s Terminal T1 departures area, Snack Bar covers the basics for a fast refuel before boarding. It sits airside after security, so you can stop here on the way to the gates without padding in extra time for checks.

Snack Bar runs on a simple formula: counter service, pay, then find a seat nearby in the shared T1 seating zones. Expect the usual airport light bites and drinks rather than a full restaurant setup. Prices sit in the normal European-airport range, not rock-bottom, not shocking.

Food here leans toward quick cold and reheated options you can finish in under 20 minutes. Think snacks that are easy to carry to the gate and eat while you watch the boarding queue for your T1 flight. Portions skew small-to-medium, so budget for an extra item if this is your main meal before a 3–4 hour leg.

Drinks at Snack Bar cover the standard soft drinks, bottled water, and basic coffee options rather than anything specialty. If you care more about caffeine than flavor notes, this will do the job before an early-morning or late-night departure from T1.

Seating directly by the counter can fill quickly during the 06:00–09:00 and early evening bank of flights, since most of T1 funnels through the same central area. If you do not see tables free, carry your tray 20–30 meters toward your gate and use the public seats there.

Tip: order and pay in one go, then head to your gate in T1 before opening anything messy, so you are ready to move if your flight shows “boarding” earlier than the printed time.
