Pure Tasmania sits in the small pre-security concourse of Hobart International Airport’s T1, right by the main check-in counters, so you can duck in even if friends are just dropping you off. It focuses on local products only, so the shelves lean heavily on Tasmanian-branded souvenirs instead of generic Australia merch.

You’ll see racks of Tasmanian chocolates, local jams, and region-themed tea towels, plus the usual magnets and keyrings with “Hobart” or “Tasmania” printed across them. Prices sit in the typical airport range: small magnets around AUD 6–8, tea towels closer to AUD 15–20, and boxed chocolates starting near AUD 12, so it’s easy to grab something quick without a full-on gift hunt in town.

The shop normally trades during main bank flight waves, roughly lining up with early-morning departures before 9:00 and afternoon services after 14:00, then quietens between. Because it’s in T1 before security, you can walk in without a boarding pass, but anything liquid over 100 ml has to go in checked luggage if you’re connecting onward via another Australian airport with standard screening.
