Cafetería Salidas

CUP-only prices and basic snacks inside Terminal 3 departures

Cafetería Salidas sits airside in Terminal 3, just past the main security checkpoint used for most long-haul departures. It runs roughly from early morning first flights around 06:00 until the last evening departures, but hours drift with staff and traffic, so expect shutters to come down early on slow nights. Look for the simple counter setup rather than a seated restaurant; this is a grab-and-go stop before you hit gates for Air Canada, Air Europa, Iberia, and most charters.

Food is bare-bones: pre-made sandwiches in the 150–250 CUP range, packets of biscuits, and the occasional ham-and-cheese toast pressed on request. Drinks usually include canned soft drinks, bottled water when available, and small local juices, typically 80–150 CUP per item. Don’t count on fresh pastries or salads here, and hot food beyond a toasted sandwich is rare. Stock depends heavily on recent deliveries and the day’s crowds.

Payment matters: Cafetería Salidas generally charges in Cuban pesos (CUP), not euros or dollars, and cards from foreign banks frequently fail on the terminal’s basic POS machine. Bring small CUP notes if you can; some staff accept euro or USD cash at improvised rates, but that shifts daily and rarely favors you. Prices posted are usually handwritten on a small board taped near the counter rather than a digital menu.

There are no dedicated tables; most people eat standing near the counter or take food back toward the E and F gate seating in Terminal 3. Service tends to be quick when stock is ready, but lines form fast if two or three passengers order sandwiches at once. Watch your carry-on space; drinks must fit in your personal item because overhead bins on many Havana departures fill early.

Tip: Buy bottled water here if you see it under 200 CUP; it can be completely sold out at other small kiosks closer to the gates in Terminal 3.
