06:00 coffee before T1 security basically means Marché Bakery.

This spot sits landside in Terminal T1, just off the central check-in hall, and it’s one of the few places open early enough for a pre-security caffeine stop. You’re looking at standard bakery pricing for Germany: around €3 for a cappuccino, €2–3 for a roll or croissant, more for filled sandwiches. If you’re dropping a rental car or meeting someone curbside, this is the easiest place to grab something without committing to security lines yet.

Food is classic Marché: fresh bread, croissants, pretzels, and ready-made sandwiches stacked in the counter. Expect simple options like cheese or ham rolls, plus a few sweeter pieces and sometimes seasonal cakes. Nothing here is destination dining, but it beats hunting through vending machines at 06:15. Portion sizes run on the modest side, so stack two items if you’ve got a long flight and no meal service booked.

Coffee is machine-based but usually consistent, with espresso drinks, basic filter coffee, and hot chocolate. A small latte or cappuccino runs roughly €3–€3.50, with larger sizes a bit more. If you care about temperature, ask for “extra hot” in English or “sehr heiß” in German; they’ll usually tweak the steam time. There’s also bottled water and soft drinks if you’re just topping up your bag before security.

Seating is limited to a few stools and small tables in the landside concourse, so plan for a quick stop rather than a laptop work session. It’s right in T1, so walking time to most Schengen gates after security sits around 10–15 minutes, including queue. Lines build in short spikes when check-in banks open on the hour, but turn over quickly because most people just grab and go.

Tip: If you’re on an early flight out of T1 and airport trains drop you before 06:30, pick up coffee and a pastry here first; some airside cafés don’t open until closer to 07:00.
