P1 Car Park

Multi-storey

160 video‑monitored spaces directly opposite Terminals A and B

P1 Car Park sits right across the access road from Terminals A and B at Hannover Airport, so you walk to check-in in roughly 2–4 minutes. It’s a multi-storey, enclosed facility with 160 spaces, all covered and under video surveillance the whole time your car is parked.

Each bay in P1 is marked as extra‑wide compared with the outdoor lots, which helps if you’re parking a family car or don’t want door dings before a 06:00 departure. Because P1 is directly at the terminal front, it’s usually treated as a premium option versus the more distant surface parking areas.

P1 operates 24/7 in line with Hannover Airport’s flight schedule, so late arrivals from a 23:00 landing into Terminal B or first-wave departures around 05:00 aren’t a problem. Barrier controls at entry and exit are automatic, and you pay at the airport’s standard ticket machines before walking the 100–200 metres back to your car.

Pricing for P1 generally sits at the upper end of the airport’s tariff ladder, reflecting the terminal-front location and covered, video‑monitored setup. For longer trips, check if a week or weekend rate applies and compare it with the cheaper open‑air car parks P3 and beyond, which sit further from Terminals A, B and C.

Watch out for peak morning banks around 06:00–08:00 and Sunday evening returns, when the 160 spaces in P1 can fill fast and the “extra‑wide” spots near the lifts go first. If you’re flying from Terminal C, add a few extra minutes, as the walk from P1 to C is longer than to A or B.

Tip: If you want one of the wider spaces close to the pedestrian exit, aim to arrive at least 90 minutes before departure, especially in school holiday periods in Lower Saxony.
