KFC

★ 2

One of the only hot-meal options in GUM’s Main terminal

KFC sits landside in the Main terminal at Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport (GUM), and it’s one of the very few recognizable chains in the building. The tradeoff: the airport location carries a low 2-star rating, so expectations need to sit closer to “basic fuel stop” than comfort meal.

Menu basics match typical KFC: fried chicken pieces, chicken sandwiches, and sides like fries and coleslaw, with combo meals usually coming in around fast-food pricing rather than airport-upcharge steakhouse levels. Portions track with standard KFC sizing, so a two-piece combo is enough if you’re boarding a 3–4 hour regional flight and don’t want to feel weighed down.

Hours generally follow peak flight banks in the Main terminal, opening in the early morning and staying open late into the evening when Guam–Japan and Guam–Micronesia departures go out. Exact times float with the schedule, so don’t count on a midnight snack if your arrival slides past the last wave of flights into GUM.

With a 2-star rating, expect slow lines at busy times and inconsistent food temperature, especially during late-night departures and right before the mid-morning bank. If you see a tour group queued 10–15 deep, you’re probably looking at a 20–30 minute wait from line join to first bite, which can eat most of a short layover.

There’s nothing special here in terms of local-only items; this is straight global-brand KFC aimed at passengers and airport staff moving through the Main terminal. Seating is limited, so many people end up carrying food back toward their gates when flights to Tokyo, Seoul, and Manila stack up in the schedule.

Tip: If your connection at GUM is under 60 minutes, skip the line at KFC and grab packaged snacks at a nearby convenience stand instead of risking a missed boarding call.
