Q4 per day gets you into Parqueo Económico at GUA
This is La Aurora’s economy lot, priced at just Q4 per day and aimed at longer trips where terminal-front parking feels wasteful. It sits outside the main terminal complex, so build in extra time compared with the Central and North terminal curbside zones.
The lot feeds a shuttle that runs about every 10 minutes, with drop-off near the Central terminal entrance used by most international flights. Figure 10 minutes transit time plus a few minutes for loading bags, then another 10–15 minutes to clear check-in and security.
Parqueo Económico works best for trips of several days because Q4 per calendar day undercuts the closer terminal parking by a wide margin. Pay at exit in quetzales; many drivers report the booths handling small bills faster than larger notes during early-morning bank card outages.
The shuttle is basic: bench seating, luggage on the floor, and no dedicated racks, so keep bags under control at busy times like the 05:00–07:00 departure bank. The 10-minute ride from the lot to the terminals passes airport staff parking, so you’ll often share the bus with employees heading to Central and North.
If you arrive during evening departures (roughly 18:00–22:00), expect queues at both the shuttle stop in Parqueo Económico and the main terminal drop-off. Add at least 30 minutes to the usual 10-minute shuttle estimate when catching North terminal flights during that window.
Tip: Park near the shuttle stop closest to the entrance gate, note the row number on your phone, and snap a photo of the nearest light pole so finding your car after a late return through Central or North is painless.
