The Parking Garage at Piedmont Triad International (GSO) sits directly across from the Main terminal, about a 3-minute covered walk from your car to check-in. Daily rates in the central long-term section cap at $15 per 24 hours, with hourly pricing at $3, $6, $9, $12, then the $15 max after 5 hours.

This is a true park-and-walk setup: there is no shuttle service for the main garage decks because of height restrictions, unlike the economy lots. The structure holds about 2,000 spaces, so on normal weekdays you can usually find something on the lower levels closest to the crosswalks into the terminal.

Weather is the big reason locals pay the extra over economy: your car stays covered, and the walk is fully across the road via the garage-to-terminal path. Some reviews note that spaces on the far ends of the upper levels feel like a long, exposed walk when it’s cold, raining, or you’re wrangling kids and bags.

Within the garage, watch the signs between the Premier Deck vs regular Central Deck; more than a few drivers end up in the pricier Premier area by accident. Employee parking passes are handled from an office on the top level, so expect more staff traffic and movement up there around shift changes.

Regular GSO flyers say they just park in the daily/long-term garage every trip and skip off-airport lots, citing stable pricing and no safety issues over many stays. Many also pay at the indoor kiosks near the escalators and baggage claim before walking back, which dodges bottlenecks at the exit gates when several flights land together.

Pro tip: aim for a lower-level space near the pedestrian crosswalks, even if it means circling an extra 2–3 minutes; it shortens the walk and keeps you more sheltered in bad weather.
