Cappuccino at 6:00 AM before security queues spike in T1

Café Bar sits airside in Terminal T1, just past security, and opens daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. It’s the straight-ahead option at Graz Airport: basic local café setup, no lounge access needed, and you can keep an eye on boarding screens while you sit. Price tier is firmly $ territory, so coffee and a snack won’t wreck your budget before a low-cost flight.

This spot runs more like a neighborhood café transplanted into GRZ than a big-chain operation. Expect standard espresso drinks, soft drinks, and a short list of pastries or simple bites, usually under the sort of prices you see in larger hubs. With a 5-star rating on airport listings, it punches above its looks and fills the gap for people who don’t want a full terrace-restaurant meal before a 45-minute hop to Vienna or Frankfurt.

Given the lack of detailed online reviews, treat Café Bar as a quick fuel stop, not a destination. Figure 10–15 minutes to order, drink a coffee, and get to most T1 gates, since the terminal is compact. If you want a beer before an evening Ryanair departure to a secondary city, you can get it here, but the setup leans more toward coffee-and-croissant than full bar service with complex cocktails.

No major complaints surface on FlyerTalk, Reddit, or TripAdvisor, which in itself says something for an all-day operation running 14 hours. Seating is limited compared with the terrace restaurant, and power outlets can be hit or miss, so don’t plan a long laptop session. A 20–30 minute stop fits best: enough time to sip, scroll, and still reach your gate without stress.

Practical tip: if you’re on an early 7:00–8:00 AM departure from T1, clear security first, grab your first coffee of the day at Café Bar, and board with something warm in your system instead of gambling on service in the air.
