Graz Airport Lounge

T1 · none explicitly mentioned Open · 05:30-20:00 Day pass €24

€24 gets you into Graz Airport’s only lounge

This is it: Graz Airport Lounge in T1 is the same space as the “VIP Lounge” used by Austrian, Lufthansa group and KLM. It sits airside above the departure area with direct apron and runway views, and opens daily from 05:30 to 20:00, covering the first banks of departures through to the evening flights.

Access runs through the Main Terminal in T1 with a slightly odd step: you first register at the info desk by check‑in counter 1 before security. There you get a barcode invitation that unlocks the lounge door. Priority Pass, Amex, airline status and paid entry all funnel through this same process, and a walk‑up day pass costs about €24.

After security in T1, you turn right and head up one level via stairs or elevator to reach the lounge above the gates. The room is small but not cramped for GRZ traffic, with a basic work area, a few couches in a so‑called relaxation corner, and seating lined up by the big windows looking over the apron where Dash 8s and E‑Jets park.

Food is the weak point: expect light snacks and a simple buffet rather than meals. Morning typically means packaged rolls, cold cuts, cheese and yogurt; later in the day you’re looking at chips, nuts and a few pastries. Hot food is rare, so don’t plan on eating lunch here if you have a longer wait.

Drinks are better covered, though still basic. There’s self‑service coffee and tea, soft drinks in fridges, and usually a few beers and wines. Everything is self‑pour, and nothing super premium, but it beats paying bar prices downstairs if you spend an hour here before a Lufthansa or KLM hop.

A key limitation: no showers and no high‑end amenities. Think quiet seating with Wi‑Fi and power outlets rather than spa treatments or nap rooms. Regulars on FlyerTalk say they treat it as a place to grab a coffee, answer email and watch the ramp, then pick up real food in the terminal if they’re hungry.

One tip: build in an extra 5–10 minutes before security to sort the barcode at the info desk; if you forget that step and walk straight to the lounge, you’ll have to backtrack and lose time.
