Gate-side sunglasses run in Terminal 2 at Chilli Beans
Right in GRU Terminal 2, Chilli Beans focuses on sunglasses, fashion frames, and bold accessories you can throw on in 30 seconds before boarding. The shop runs daily from 06:00 to 23:00, so it catches the first regional departures and most late-night flights out of São Paulo.
Prices sit in the mid-range for the airport: you’ll see many frames in the same band as high-street brands in São Paulo malls, not luxury-designer levels. Stock leans into big, graphic shapes and colored lenses, plus some more neutral everyday styles. It’s all accessories here, so think sunglasses, optical-style frames without prescription lenses, and some watches and bracelets on the side.
Because it’s inside Terminal 2 airside, you can duck in after security instead of wasting time landside. Browsing is quick: most pieces are on open racks or wall displays, and staff usually pull cases or cleaning kits if you ask. If you forget your shades before a mid-day departure to Rio or Brasília, this is one of the few spots still trading strongly around 14:00–18:00.
Card payments in BRL are standard, and some international cards run contactless with no issue. You won’t find prescription fitting here, just fashion frames and off-the-shelf sunglasses. Try on two or three styles, check the mirror by the entrance, then head straight back toward your Terminal 2 gate; don’t leave this stop until you know your boarding time and gate number.
