The Coffee

3 ★ 4.2

Gate-side caffeine fix near Terminal 3 departures

The Coffee sits airside in Terminal 3 at GRU, handy if you’re flying LATAM or most long-haul international carriers from T3. It runs on a compact, kiosk-style setup, so think grab-and-go more than sit-down. Rating hovers around 4.2, which is high for São Paulo airport coffee options. Expect quick counter service and a smaller footprint than chains like Starbucks in Terminal 2.

Menu focus is espresso-based drinks: straight espresso, macchiato, cappuccino, and latte, usually in the R$10–R$20 range depending on size and add-ons. They lean into Brazilian beans, so a simple cafezinho or espresso is the safest call. You’ll also see sweet options like mochas and flavored lattes for a few reais more. Cold drinks and bottled water are typically stocked right at the counter, so you can be in and out in under 5 minutes between boarding calls.

Food is basic: pre-made pastries, pão de queijo, and a few packaged snacks priced roughly R$8–R$20. It’s fine as a backup breakfast before a 07:00–09:00 departure out of T3, but don’t expect a full meal. If you want something more substantial, you’re usually better off eating earlier in Terminal 3’s main food court and using The Coffee for a final espresso before security checks or boarding.

Service style is order-pay-wait at the counter, so it works even if boarding starts in 10–15 minutes at a nearby T3 gate. Lines spike just before early long-haul departures around 21:00–23:00, when multiple wide-bodies leave Terminal 3, and that can stretch your wait to 10 minutes or more. Staff typically call out drinks by name, so listen closely in the busy evening bank of flights.

Tip: if your gate in Terminal 3 is already posted, grab your coffee here first, then walk to the gate; some remote T3 gates only have vending machines once you head downstairs to the buses.
