O Pastifício

3 ★ 4.3

Gate-side pasta stop in Terminal 3

Right in Terminal 3 after security, O Pastifício runs as a casual pasta bar with a solid 4.3 rating. You order at the counter, grab a tray, and eat at shared tables facing the concourse. Portions lean generous by airport standards, and most mains sit in the mid-price band for GRU: think roughly what you’d pay for a burger combo elsewhere in T3, but with pasta instead.

Menu focus is Italian: fresh pasta dishes, lasagna, and a rotating set of sauces, usually including at least one tomato-based option and one cream-based option at any given time. You’ll also see quick bites like bruschetta or small pastries in the display case, plus soft drinks, espresso, and sometimes bottled beer depending on the day’s stock. Because everything sits inside Terminal 3, you only use it if your boarding pass actually departs or arrives through this terminal.

Expect airport-style pricing: pasta plates typically land in the mid double digits in Brazilian reais, with drinks adding another R$10–20 to the bill. Service runs on the quick side when there are two or more staff on the line, but during late-night long-haul bank waves, a queue of 10–15 people can form and add 10–20 minutes. If you’re down to a 45-minute boarding call, this starts to feel tight.

Best move is sticking to the simple pasta combos: one sauce, one topping, nothing complicated. Those turn over fastest, so they arrive hotter and fresher. Anything that looks like it has been sitting in the heated display for a while, especially baked dishes like lasagna, can come out a bit dry, so check the pans before you pay. Coffee is serviceable if you just need a quick pre-boarding espresso shot.

Tip: if your flight leaves from a low-numbered Terminal 3 gate, eat first, then walk; it’s roughly a 7–10 minute stroll from the restaurant cluster to the far end of the pier.
