Big Mac at 3 a.m. in Terminal 3

Terminal 3’s McDonald’s sits airside after security, handy if you’re in the long-haul international pier and want something familiar before a GRU–Europe or GRU–US flight. The Google rating hovers around 4.2, which is high for airport fast food and mainly driven by consistency and speed. You’ll see a mix of LATAM, Qatar, and Emirates passengers grabbing trays here before boarding.

Prices run higher than city stores: expect a combo meal (sandwich, fries, drink) in the R$40–R$55 range, with a basic cheeseburger or McChicken around R$15–R$20. Card payment is standard, and international credit cards are accepted with contactless terminals. Menu boards show prices in Brazilian real only, so have a quick mental conversion ready if you’re watching budget before a 10-hour flight.

The menu in Terminal 3 tracks closely to Brazilian high-street McDonald’s: Big Mac, Quarterão (Quarter Pounder), McChicken, chicken nuggets, and sundaes. Breakfast items show up in the early morning window before 10:30 a.m., usually including egg sandwiches and coffee from the McCafé side. If your flight leaves around 6:00 a.m., this is one of the few places in T3 already serving hot food and proper espresso.

Seating spills into the shared food court area above some of the international gates, so during the evening departure bank (roughly 7:00–11:00 p.m.) it can be hard to find a chair within 10 meters. Food comes out quickly but queues can stretch to 10–15 minutes at peak when several wide-bodies to Europe, the US, and the Middle East board at once. Use the overhead screens; they show both Portuguese and English menu names, which helps if you’re ordering in a rush.

Tip: if your gate is at the far end of Terminal 3’s pier (think around gates 324–329), order to go and walk back toward your gate immediately; announcements in this area can be muffled when the restaurant crowd gets loud.
