Bacio di Latte

3 ★ 4.5

Terminal 3 gelato stop with a 4.5 rating

Bacio di Latte in Terminal 3 sits on the international side of GRU, so you hit it after passport control and security. It runs during standard terminal hours, roughly matching the long-haul bank from early afternoon into late night. This is the same São Paulo chain you see in malls across the city, so the style and flavors are familiar if you know the brand.

Pricing runs in the mid-range for airport sweets: expect around R$18–R$25 for a small cup, with larger portions and waffle cones climbing from there. Portions lean European rather than US-jumbo, but the texture is dense and rich, so a “pequeno” is usually enough between flights. You pay at the counter and they scoop to order, so factor in a few minutes at busy departure waves.

Flavors rotate, but there is almost always a classic pistache, dark chocolate, doce de leite, and at least one fruit option like strawberry or passion fruit. The base is milk-forward and not overly sweet by Brazilian dessert standards. Ask for a split cup with two flavors; they are usually fine with mixing, so you can pair something bright like lemon with a heavier chocolate and keep it from feeling too heavy before a 10–12 hour flight.

Bacio di Latte also sells coffee and espresso shots, so you can grab a single or double espresso instead of a sugary drink from the bigger chains nearby in T3. There are usually a few small tables plus ledge seating right by the shop, but during the evening rush around the 22:00–01:00 departures, you may end up standing with your cup.

Tip: if your gate is in the higher 300s at the far end of Terminal 3, stop here first; it is easier to eat gelato while walking toward your gate than to trek back against the outbound crowd once boarding starts.
