Terminal 3’s backup lounge when airline access falls through
This Aspire Lounge sits airside in Terminal 3 at São Paulo–Guarulhos (GRU), mainly used when you don’t have access to the LATAM or Star Alliance-branded lounges. It’s an independent option in the long-haul terminal, handy if you’re flying carriers without a strong lounge footprint in GRU T3.
The lounge is past security and passport control in Terminal 3, so you need a same-day international boarding pass to get in. Access is via common lounge passes, eligible premium cards, or paid entry, typically priced in the region of USD 35–50 depending on program and time of day. Check your card app before you pay at the desk; several Brazilian-issued credit cards cover entry here.
Hours generally track the long-haul banks in T3, opening early morning and running into the late evening to cover overnight departures. It mainly serves passengers on mid-range international airlines using Terminal 3, plus economy travelers who buy access when flying LATAM, TAP, Emirates, or similar from GRU. If you’re on a late bank around 23:00, expect more crowding than at mid-afternoon.
Food runs to straightforward buffet options typical of third-party lounges: basic hot dishes, salads, and a couple of sweets, with quality well below a flagship airline lounge but better than many landside options in Terminal 2. Drinks usually include Brazilian beer, simple spirits, and house wine, with espresso machines handling coffee instead of made-to-order barista drinks. Don’t walk in expecting premium champagne or serious cocktails; this is more “quick plate before boarding” than a dining destination.
Seating is mostly standard armchairs and cafe tables, with power outlets dotted along some walls but not at every seat. Wi‑Fi is free, with speeds enough for streaming and email during lighter periods, but it can slow when Terminal 3’s evening departures between 19:00 and 22:00 fill the room. If you need to work, scout for seats closer to the walls where outlets and slightly better signal tend to cluster.
One last tip: build a 10–15 minute buffer to reach your gate from Aspire in Terminal 3, since some long-haul gates at the far ends of the pier add a bit of walking before boarding starts around T‑40.
