Coffee Connection

GPT’s 2023 restaurant revamp added Coffee Connection as the coffee stop.

Set in the Main terminal past security, Coffee Connection came in with Sonic and the local brewery concept as part of Gulfport-Biloxi’s dining refresh highlighted in 2023 coverage. It’s the airport’s focused option for espresso, drip coffee, and quick snacks before flights out of this single-terminal field.

You’ll find standard coffee shop basics: hot coffee, espresso drinks, and likely bottled drinks and grab-and-go items priced in the typical airport range, roughly a few dollars more than downtown Gulfport. The setup aims at fast service for morning departures out of GPT’s small bank of gates, so expect more counter space than seating.

Most traffic runs through early in the day when those first flights board between about 5:30 and 8:30 a.m., so that’s the time to expect a short queue. Later mid-day and evening banks through the Main terminal are quieter, and Coffee Connection becomes more of a quick top-up stop for an iced drink before boarding.

The airport’s own restaurant mix has just three named pieces in that Sun Herald story: Sonic, the brewery bar, and Coffee Connection. That means if you want a proper espresso rather than Sonic drip or a bar pour from the brewery, this counter is your only realistic option inside security.

Watch timing around tight connections under 30 minutes; GPT is small, but a five-person line and one barista can still slow you down. If your flight boards from a gate at the far end of the Main terminal, give yourself at least 10 extra minutes from ordering to reaching your boarding door.

Practical tip: hit Coffee Connection before you pass the last restroom cluster near the gates so you’re not backtracking; grab your drink, then walk straight to boarding with one stop instead of two.
