After security at Landvetter, this is the quick paperback stop

Adlibris Pocket sits airside after security at Göteborg Landvetter and runs its hours in line with flight departures, so it’s usually open from the first bank of morning flights through the late evening wave. This is the airport spin-off of Adlibris’ takeover of the old Pocket Shop chain, so the focus is tight: compact paperbacks you can finish between GOT and ARN, or on a 3–4 hour sector down to Spain.

The shelves lean hard into Swedish and Scandinavian authors, mostly pocket-format fiction and crime, with current bestsellers stacked near the entrance for fast grabs. You’ll also spot a smaller row of English-language titles geared to travel reading: thrillers, light novels, and some non-fiction that won’t demand a week of concentration. Prices track normal Swedish high-street book pricing, so expect a standard pocket to land around 100–150 SEK rather than duty-free levels.

Stock turnover follows the broader Adlibris network, so front tables reflect what’s moving on their website and in city shops in Göteborg and Stockholm. If you want something very niche or a hardback first edition, this is the wrong stop; the space is compact and clearly curated for plane seats and hotel nights. Kids’ and YA pockets usually sit together in one section, handy if you need a quick distraction for a 2–3 hour flight.

Tip: walk past the snacks first, pick your book here after you see your gate on the screens, then head straight to boarding with one less kiosk stop in your path.
