T1’s small Gift Shop sits landside before security
This basic Gift Shop in Genoa’s T1 is on the landside level, so you can browse before security and still keep an eye on the check-in desks. It’s the main non-duty-free shop in the terminal, and it stays open roughly in line with the first and last departures, so early morning and late evening flights are usually covered.
Stock leans heavily Italian: expect Ligurian-themed souvenirs under €10, fridge magnets with “Genova” on them for a few euros, and mid-range local food products like pesto jars and packaged focaccia that fit cabin baggage rules. You’ll also find standard travel bits — neck pillows, basic chargers, and small toys — at prices a notch above city-center shops but normal for a single-shop airport.
Since T1 at GOA is compact and this Gift Shop is one of only a handful of retail options, don’t wait to “shop later” at the gate; there’s not another general gift store once you pass security into the small departures area. If you want food items that won’t survive a long haul, buy them here and pack them carefully before you queue for screening.
Best move: check in for your flight, then give yourself 10–15 minutes at the Gift Shop landside to grab souvenirs and last-minute chargers so you can head straight to security and your gate without backtracking.
