Need to leave a car at GND for a week or more?
The airport’s Public Car Park sits directly in front of the Maurice Bishop International Airport terminal in St. George’s and works for both short and long stays. It’s a simple open-air lot, mainly used by locals and visitors parking for several days when street parking or hotel shuttles aren’t an option. No fancy apps, no online reservations, and very little official info beyond the on-site signs.
This is standard airport parking: you drive into the Public Car Park, take a ticket at the barrier, and pay at the exit based on how many hours or days you stayed. It supports both quick drop-offs under an hour and multi-day trips, but you won’t find tiered products like “premium” or “valet.” Pricing isn’t prominently listed online as of 2026, so assume rates set locally in Eastern Caribbean dollars and bring a backup payment method.
The Public Car Park is walking distance to check-in, usually under 5 minutes from the farthest end of the lot to the terminal doors. That walk is outdoors the whole way, with no covered walkway, so plan for Grenada heat or the occasional tropical shower. There is basic lighting and standard airport traffic, but no dedicated security kiosk visible in publicly available photos.
If you plan to leave your car for more than 3–4 days, do a quick pass of the lot before choosing a space and aim for a spot not directly under trees to dodge sap and bird mess. Lock valuables out of sight, take a quick phone photo of your bay or nearby sign, and arrive at least 20 minutes earlier than usual so the low-frills setup doesn’t make you rush check-in.
