Caffe Bene

Caffe Bene as the backup plan when Starbucks overflows

When the Gimpo International Starbucks line hits 20 people deep, Caffe Bene quietly soaks up the spillover. This Korean chain café sits airside in the International side of GMP and pulls a steady 3-star crowd: fine when you just need caffeine and a chair, not a destination coffee stop.

Drinks run in the ₩4,500–₩6,000 range for basic americanos and lattes, with frappé-style blends creeping over ₩6,500. Pastries, waffles, and cake slices land around ₩4,000–₩7,000, which is standard airport pricing for Seoul. Portions track to typical Caffe Bene branches in the city, just with fewer options than a full street location.

Expect chain-level espresso: a medium latte (₩5,500) tastes like any other mid-tier Korean café, better than vending machine coffee, softer than a serious roastery. The draw here is sugar more than beans. The bingsu-style desserts and waffle plates show up constantly on trays, especially the choco and injeolmi variations when they’re in stock.

Seating is the real value. Tables back right up against the terminal walkway near other International gates, so you can keep an eye on departures within a 2–3 minute walk. Power outlets are hit-or-miss, but you can usually spot at least one open socket along the wall seats if you do a quick lap.

Service cadence runs in the 3–7 minute range for drinks, up to 10 minutes if you add waffles or bingsu. Staff call out order numbers in Korean, and the receipts print those numbers clearly, so just match the last three digits. Card and mobile payments (including Korean apps) all work; cash in won is also fine.

Tip: if your gate is on the International side and you’ve got under 25 minutes to boarding, grab a bottled drink and pre-packed snack here instead of committing to made-to-order desserts.
