Four paper drink tokens hit your hand as you enter Lomond.
Upstairs in Terminal 1 at Glasgow, Lomond Lounge runs as a paid upgrade on the usual airport bar. Staff hand each adult four alcoholic drink tokens on entry, with Prosecco covered but Champagne charged separately. It feels closer to a managed tab than the usual free-pour lounge setup, which keeps things calmer and stops the 7 a.m. beer parade.
Day passes start from £37, bought either in advance or at the door if space allows. That price covers the four alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, tea, and coffee, plus buffet food. Compared with nursing two £8 pints and a sandwich downstairs, the maths starts working in your favour in under two hours, especially on a delay.
Lomond sits airside in Terminal 1, after security, a short walk from the main departures seating. It opens daily, but FlyerTalk reports hot food stops at 16:00, last orders at the bar are around 16:30, and doors shut at roughly 17:00. After that, British Airways passengers usually get sent to the UpperDeck lounge instead, which is a different setup entirely.
The food line is small but kept moving before 16:00, with travellers noting quick replenishment of hot dishes rather than huge trays left to dry out. Expect straightforward hot items alongside lighter bites and desserts, not a full restaurant service. If you’re flying after 17:00, plan to eat in the terminal, as Lomond’s kitchen and bar both wind down early.
Drink-wise, the smart play is to use your four tokens on higher-value pours. Prosecco, spirits, and decent bottled beers are included on tokens; Champagne sits outside the deal and gets added to your bill. Soft drinks, tea, and standard coffee don’t touch your token count, so save those chits for something stronger.
Watch the timing on afternoon departures: if your flight leaves after about 18:00, you may only get an hour or so before the lounge starts its shutdown routine. Tip: for a mid-day flight out of T1, aim to be through security and into Lomond by about 13:30–14:00 so you actually have time to eat, use all four drinks, and still stroll to the gate without a rush.
