Gate-side Brazilian beauty gifts in Terminal 2

Terminal 2’s O Boticario targets that last spare 10 minutes before boarding with Brazilian-made fragrances, body creams, and make-up that locals actually recognize. This is the airport branch of the big domestic chain, so you’ll see the same core lines you’d find in Rio malls, just closer to your gate. It sits airside in T2, so you clear security first, then shop on the international departures level.

Pricing tracks big-city retail in Brazil: perfumes often sit in the mid-range bracket, cheaper than duty-free designer labels a few doors away but not bargain-bin. Expect classic O Boticario scents, seasonal gift boxes, and smaller 30–50 ml bottles that slide under the 100 ml liquid rule. Staff usually push the boxed sets because they wrap easily and pack flat in a carry-on.

Figure 5–15 minutes here if you already know the brand, 20 if you want to test a few fragrances and hand creams at the counter. Shelves are packed with ready-made gift kits, so you’re not stuck building combinations item by item. It’s all Brazilian branding, but packaging uses enough English that non‑Portuguese speakers can decode product types and usage.

There’s no official opening time posted, but in Terminal 2 it generally tracks international bank of departures, so assume doors open by mid-morning and run through late‑evening long-hauls. One practical move: decide your budget before you walk in and ask directly for kits under that number; staff in T2 are used to “I board in 15 minutes” shoppers and move quickly when you’re clear about price and timing.
