Havaianas

2

Forgot your sandals for Copacabana? Havaianas in T2 fixes that.

This Havaianas sits airside in Terminal 2 at GIG, right in the path of long-haul departures to Europe. It’s the airport version of Brazil’s signature flip-flop brand, so you can grab beach gear on the way to a Rio hotel or pick up a last-minute present before a GRU or LIS flight home.

Prices run higher than street shops in Ipanema, but basic rubber flip-flops still start in the low double digits in BRL, and kids’ styles stay close to that. Printed collections, licensed designs, and thicker-soled pairs climb quickly, so check the tag before you load up for the family.

Stock leans heavily on classic Havaianas thong flip-flops, with several wall racks of Brazil-flag designs and plain colors in common sizes like 37–40. You’ll also see a smaller rail of slides, a few beach bags, and branded accessories like keychains that fit easily into a carry-on or personal item.

Staff usually handle quick size swaps and simple exchanges on the spot, but keep in mind you’re in Terminal 2 with gate calls starting 40–50 minutes before departure. Lines spike when two or three wide-body flights board close together, especially late afternoon between roughly 16:00 and 19:00.

Tip: try one size up from your usual EU size, walk a quick lap around the shop on the hard floor, and check the strap between your toes before you head to passport control.
