Grab-and-go cheesecake cups near GEG security
Right by the main security checkpoint at Spokane International (before you split toward A, B, or C), Chuckanut Bay Foods runs a small kiosk-style counter focused on desserts. It’s the same Chuckanut brand you see in grocery dairy cases across Washington, but here it’s all about single-serve treats you can walk through TSA with.
Expect mainly chilled, prepackaged items: individual cheesecake cups in the $4–$7 range, plus a rotating mix of flavors like classic New York, raspberry, and chocolate. Portions are small enough to count as a snack, big enough to stand in for a light meal if your next leg is only a 60–90 minute hop.
Chuckanut Bay Foods usually opens in the morning in sync with early departures around 5:00–6:00 a.m. and stays open into the evening bank that runs past 7:00 p.m. Hours can flex a bit with the GEG schedule, so don’t count on it for the very last outbound of the night. It’s pre-security, so you can stop here even if you’re picking someone up.
There’s no hot food, espresso machine, or seating; this is grab, pay, and head toward Gates A1–A3, B5–B7, or C10–C23. Figure 2–3 minutes to buy something and another 10–20 minutes to clear security, depending on TSA PreCheck and time of day. If you need actual lunch, plan on eating at one of the post-security spots instead.
Best move here: treat Chuckanut as your “sweet plus coffee” pairing; grab a cheesecake cup at the kiosk, then pick up drip coffee airside at the first stand you see near your gate. That spreads out the sugar and caffeine and keeps your stop at the kiosk under five minutes.
