Gateway Lounge Presented by STAR Bank

Main · /second floor post-security/ Open · With terminal / standard airport hours Day pass $30

$30 gets you out of the Main terminal gate seats

On the second floor post-security at Fort Wayne (FWA), the Gateway Lounge Presented by STAR Bank is basically an upgraded waiting room: quieter than the single Main concourse and shielded from gate PAs by its tucked-away location above the main flow of traffic.

The lounge follows terminal hours, opening before the first FWA departure and closing after the last arrival, so it works for those 5 a.m.-ish starts and the late-evening inbounds that still see people camping at the lone Main gate area.

Access runs two ways: a limited $30 day pass when capacity allows, or an annual membership from about $150 that includes unlimited visits plus one guest, clearly aimed at local business travelers who fly out of Fort Wayne multiple times a month.

Capacity is controlled, so walk-up day passes are not guaranteed on peak days like Monday mornings or Sunday evenings, and staff can cut off sales once the small space fills.

Amenities skew practical: private restrooms inside the lounge, individual workstations with power at nearly every seat, semi-private huddle chairs, and a couple of small rooms that work for quick calls, which is more infrastructure than you usually see at a regional airport of FWA’s size.

Food and drink are basic but included with entry: packaged snacks and soft drinks only, so think chips and soda rather than hot dishes, with alcohol and espresso notably absent from the complimentary spread.

If you want a real meal or coffee, you use mobile ordering from the airport restaurant and coffee shop downstairs and then eat at your lounge seat, which means your burger or latte comes from the same kitchen serving the public concourse.

The space is independent, with no ties to airline status, Priority Pass, Amex, or bank cards, so even frequent flyers have to pay either the $30 day rate or spring for the roughly $150+ membership to get through the door.

One practical tip: if you have a long work block before a flight, clear security at FWA early, head straight upstairs to the lounge on the second floor, and claim a workstation near an outlet before the early bank of departures hits.
