Ramen Sugimoto sits in the Kyushu Meihingura food zone near Domestic gate 11, so you can eat a proper bowl within sight of your boarding area. It’s a straightforward ramen counter: quick turnover, counter seating, and a tight menu focused on Kyushu-style bowls rather than side dishes and snacks.
Figure on prices in the ¥800–¥1,200 range for a standard bowl, which is in line with airport ramen across Japan, not a tourist gouge. The shop is inside security in the Domestic terminal, so this only works if you’re flying on a domestic ticket, not out of the International side. It’s a solid choice if you’ve got 30–40 minutes before boarding and don’t want to rely on convenience-store onigiri.
Menu structure follows the usual pattern: base ramen, a richer “all-toppings” option, plus soft drinks and maybe a beer or highball in the ¥400–¥600 range. You order, get a ticket, hand it over, and usually see your bowl in under 10 minutes, even during the early evening bank of departures around 18:00–19:00. Expect counter seating to fill first in that window.
No notable complaint patterns show up yet: food temperature, broth seasoning, and service speed all land in the “fine for an airport” band. You won’t get a deep Fukuoka ramen tour here, but you will get a hot, filling bowl before your flight.
