Gyudon in under 10 minutes before your Domestic flight
This Yoshinoya sits in Fukuoka Airport’s Domestic terminal and is all about speed: order, get your gyudon, and be back at the gate in roughly 10 minutes if there’s no line. It’s a familiar orange sign, counter service, and shared seating with the rest of the concourse, so you’re eating within sight of nearby gates.
Prices stay in true budget territory, with standard beef bowls generally in the ¥400–¥700 range depending on size and toppings. That puts it well below the sit-down restaurants elsewhere in Domestic, especially if you’re feeding a family before a ANA or JAL hop to Tokyo or Osaka. Portions skew generous for the price, especially on the normal and large sizes.
Order the classic gyudon (beef bowl) as a regular or large, and add a raw egg or onsen egg set if you want it richer; that combo still usually stays under about ¥800. Miso soup and pickles round things out without slowing service much. If you’re in a real rush to a gate in the same concourse, grab a takeout beef bowl and eat near your boarding area instead of sitting down.
Hours typically track Domestic flight banks, opening from morning into the evening whenever departures are running, but late-night options in FUK thin out after around 21:00, so don’t count on a midnight bowl. Payment is standard for Japan: expect major IC cards like Suica and common credit cards to be accepted alongside cash at the register.
Practical tip: if your connection in the Domestic terminal is under 30 minutes, decide on size and toppings while you’re still walking; step up, order the basic beef bowl set, eat quickly, and you’ll still make it back to boarding in time.
