Teriyaki burgers and rice-bun sandwiches without leaving Domestic

Mos Burger in Fukuoka Airport’s Domestic terminal is the cheapest way to sample a very Japanese fast-food chain before you board. Prices sit in the ¥400–¥800 range for most burgers, so this runs firmly in the $ bracket compared with sit-down spots upstairs. It’s standard counter service, quick turnover, and you eat at basic airport seating a few steps from nearby domestic gates.

The menu hits all the Mos classics: the Teriyaki Burger, rice-bun options like the Yakiniku Rice Burger, and the messy-but-good Mos Burger with meat sauce. Combo sets with fries and a drink usually land around ¥800–¥1,000, which undercuts most other hot-food options in the Domestic building. Portions run smaller than US chains, so add an extra side if you’re heading onto a long flight.

As a Domestic-terminal spot, this works well if you’re on ANA, JAL, or Peach flights within Japan and want something recognizably local instead of another global brand. Expect typical fast-food hours aligned with the Domestic schedule, roughly from morning through evening departures; it’s not a midnight option. Turnover is fast enough that you can usually be in and out in 15–20 minutes outside of peak holiday periods.

What to order: go for one of the non-Western builds — the Teriyaki Burger or a rice-bun burger shows you why Mos has a following across Japan. Fries are fine but unremarkable, and skipping dessert here saves yen for better sweets in the terminal. Since there’s no table service and lines can build before banked departures, place your order as soon as you see fewer than 5 people at the counter, then grab a nearby seat while they call your number.

Tip: if your Domestic flight boards from a nearby gate within 30 minutes, take your order to go and eat at the gate rather than waiting for a seat in the food court cluster.
