Airside, after security checks, near gates 5 and 7, Fuerteventura Airport (El Matorral, ES)

Priority Pass turns into real value here when FUE is rammed.

Jable VIP Lounge sits in T1 near gates 5–7 on Floor 1, after security, and mainly earns its keep as a calmer spot than the main hall. It runs 06:00–21:00 daily, so almost all departures out of Fuerteventura can use it. Access works via pay-in or programs like Priority Pass, DragonPass, and airline invites, but paying the full €39–45 door rate only makes sense if the terminal is heaving or you badly want air conditioning.

The entrance is at the far end of T1, roughly opposite the main departures entry, so build in 10–15 minutes of extra walking from check-in to reach the lounge near gates 5–7. Once inside, you get strong AC, basic seating zones, and runway views. Toilets are inside the lounge with separate ladies’ and gents’ bathrooms, which saves a trip back into the public area and can matter when the main restrooms near the central shops are busy.

Food runs light: reviewers talk about simple cold snacks rather than hot dishes, plus self-serve soft drinks. Think packaged nibbles and maybe a pastry, not a proper meal, and plan to eat a real breakfast or dinner in T1’s public cafés before heading up. Given the €39–45 day pass price, the math only works if you value the quieter space and AC more than a restaurant plate that might cost €12–15 outside.

Seats draw the loudest complaints. Many guests call the layout awkward and the chairs uncomfortable, so don’t expect deep armchairs or nap-ready loungers. Priority Pass regulars mainly treat Jable as a step up from the crowded gate area near 5–7, open a laptop for 45–60 minutes, use the bathrooms, and sip a drink. If you need to charge gear, hunt early for power points; reports suggest they’re not at every seat.

Watch out for the location tax: the departures entrance and security lanes sit at the opposite end of T1 from this lounge, so arriving late to check-in and then trying to “just pop in” rarely works. One practical play: clear security at least 90 minutes before departure, walk down to Jable for AC and a drink, then leave 20–25 minutes before boarding to stroll back to your gate without stress.
