T Open · 3:30 AM - Last Departure ★ 5 $$$$ Post-security

Gate-side seats with runway views and a fresh pizza in hand

Past security in Terminal T, Red Stone Pizza Company sits along the big glass wall overlooking the FSD runway, so you can literally watch your plane pull in while your fire-roasted pie bakes. It’s the only true sit-down option airside, open from 3:30 AM until the last departure, which covers the early Allegiant runs and the late Delta/United flights.

Menu is simple: made-to-order whole pizzas and personal-size pies, plus a few bar snacks, at roughly $$ pricing for an airport. Think more “local shop” than frozen reheats – several regulars call out the crust as surprisingly good for a small regional airport. Expect airport markups compared with downtown Sioux Falls, especially on drinks, but still workable for a proper meal before boarding.

The signature move here is the fire-roasted pizza built to order, not a slice pulled from a heat lamp. Figure about 10–20 minutes from order to table if there are one or two flights on the board; longer when three departures stack within an hour. If you’re tight on time, go personal-size and ask how many tickets are ahead of you before paying.

Beer and basic bar drinks come from the same counter, so one tab covers your pizza and a draft while you watch the game on the TVs over the bar. Service slows when the 5–7 PM bank hits and half the terminal decides they want pizza at once, and the menu is basically pies plus a few bar bites – not the spot if you’re hunting salads or low-carb options.

Regulars skip the landside snacks, clear security, then eat here so they’re already at the gate and can see boarding start through the windows. If you’re on one of the last evening flights, order by 8:30–9:00 PM; other stands can close early, and Red Stone is the one most likely to still be serving until that final departure.
