T1 ★ 5 $$$$ Post-security

Gate-side in T1, Travel is your last-minute fix-it shop

By the time you clear security in T1 at Cristiano Ronaldo International (FNC), Travel is one of the first retail spots you see airside. It sits post-security in Terminal 1 with a focus on low-cost travel accessories, helpful when your checked bag is already on its way to Lisbon or Porto and you realise something is missing.

Pricing sits in the “$” tier, so basics like neck pillows, small padlocks, and cheap earphones usually come in under €15. This isn’t designer luggage territory; think practical bits you can grab fast before boarding an easyJet or TAP flight. Card payments are standard, and staff flip through transactions quickly to keep people moving toward the gates.

Stock leans heavily into carry-on essentials: cabin-size bags that match standard 55 x 40 x 20 cm rules, travel-sized bottles under 100 ml, and simple organisers for backpacks. If your wheel snaps in FNC or your zip fails on arrival, this is likely the only place in T1 where you can buy a replacement suitcase without leaving the secure area.

The shop runs through the usual operating hours of T1, opening early for 06:00 departures and staying open into the late evening wave to mainland Portugal. Reviews that exist online give it a solid 5-star rating, mostly on the back of friendly staff and quick solutions when something breaks or gets forgotten.

There are no standout “hero” products to chase here, just basic gear: plug adapters that fit Schuko sockets, power banks, luggage scales, and simple document wallets. Skip anything tech-heavy if you’re picky about brands; selection is more about function than specs.

Practical tip: if your bag looks borderline for Ryanair or easyJet hand-luggage checks, pick up a cheap soft holdall here and repack before you walk to the gate in T1.
