Gate-side tech stop in Terminal 1
Right in Terminal 1, InMotion is the airport’s main electronics shop for last-minute fixes and upgrades before boarding. It sits past security, so you can walk over from most T1 gates in under 5 minutes and still keep an eye on boarding times. This is the spot to sort out headphones, chargers, and travel gadgets without leaving the secure area.
InMotion typically stocks name-brand noise-cancelling headphones, portable battery packs, and cables, with prices that often run a bit higher than street retail but still beat buying on the plane. Expect to see 3.5mm and USB-C adapters, plus extra Lightning and USB-C cables if your original is sitting at home. You’ll also usually find compact Bluetooth speakers and travel-friendly over-ear or in-ear options.
Most airports keep InMotion open from early morning through the last bank of departures, and Terminal 1 at FLL follows that pattern: you can usually count on it from around the first flights of the day until late-evening departures. That makes it a solid backup if another shop in T1 closes by 8 or 9 p.m. and you still need a cable or charger for an overnight trip.
One tip: if you’re replacing lost headphones, test them on your own phone at the counter before you walk off, especially for noise-cancelling models in the $150–$400 range. Check return policies on the receipt, then keep the small packaging in your carry-on until you’ve used the gear once in flight.
