Rocco's Tacos

Gate-side tacos in Terminal 1

Rocco's Tacos sits airside in Terminal 1 at Fort Lauderdale (FLL), an easy walk from most Southwest and Delta gates. It functions as a full sit-down spot with a bar, so you can get a proper meal instead of grabbing another pre-made sandwich. Expect casual Mexican: tacos, burritos, quesadillas, chips and guac, plus tequila-heavy cocktails for longer layovers.

Menu pricing runs in typical airport range: tacos usually land around $4–$6 each, burritos and combo plates closer to the $15–$20 mark, and guacamole bowls in the $10–$15 zone. Draft beers often hit the $9–$12 point, with cocktails a couple of dollars higher. Portions tend to be large enough that two or three tacos plus chips work as a full meal before a 3-hour flight.

Service speed in Terminal 1 varies with departure banks, so during a 5–8 a.m. or 3–7 p.m. rush, expect 15–20 minutes for food after ordering. On quieter mid-day windows, you can be in and out in about 35–45 minutes. If your connection is under 50 minutes, stick to tacos, chips, and drinks and skip anything that needs extra prep like sizzling fajita-style plates.

The bar area has several TVs tuned to sports or news, which helps kill the 90 minutes before a delayed flight out of Gate C1 or nearby. Power outlets at the bar rail are hit-or-miss, so board with at least 40% battery or bring a small power bank. Seating is standard high-tops and bar stools, so not the easiest setup if you have a stroller or lots of carry-on bags.

Tip: If you want a sit-down meal but your flight boards in under an hour from Terminal 1, grab a bar seat, order tacos and chips immediately, and ask for the check with your food to shave 5–10 minutes off your turnaround.
